Join in the fun at a special girls only event to mark the UN International Day of the Girl on Sunday, October 9th.
From 2pm until 5pm at National Sports Centre and Pool (North Field), you can learn about challenges that girls face here and around the globe as the largest demographic facing poverty.
There will also be opportunities to try new activities, including diving and sailing, so you are invited to bring a swimsuit and towel. The activities have been mainly selected to expose girls to traditionally boy sports and STEM, including coding, robotics and auto-technology. You can come for any part of the afternoon and try everything.
This event is free and you can either show up on the day or RSVP on Facebook.
