Back by popular demand, BUEI will be hosting a new showing of Ocean Vet Episode 5: The Bermuda Turtle Project on Monday, October 17th.
In this episode, Neil deploys his veterinary skills to help save Bermuda's Green sea turtles and assist with groundbreaking scientific research on their health and populations. Follow the team as they capture and release wild green sea turtles in a bid to study their health and populations before fitting a satellite tag to a mature specimen that will collect vital data on it's oceanic migrations.
Ocean Vet is a natural history series like no other. Narrated by Academy award winning actor and producer, Michael Douglas, this incredible series follows the exploits of English vet Dr. Neil Burnie and his Ocean Vet team. The evening will feature an introduction by Ocean Vet crew member, Choy Aming, airing of the episode, and a Q&A session.
The screening will start in the Tradewinds Auditorium at 7.30pm. Harbourfront are offering a 10% discount (food only) to anyone dining there before or after the event. Reservations are available from 5pm for the sushi bar and the full menu will be available from 6pm - please mention the lecture when booking to avail of the discount and note that it cannot be combined with any other special offers. For dinner reservations call 295-4207.
Tickets for the lecture are $20 for members, $25 for non-members, $10 for students, and available by calling 294-0204 or visiting Oceans Gift Shop at BUEI.
