There are three current exhibits at Bermuda National Gallery on the 2nd Floor in City Hall.
Firstly, the Bermuda Biennial 2016 exhibition is a platform for the contemporary art scene in Bermuda. With the theme, It's About Now: Memories of the Present , this exhibit has been juried by Holly Bynoe (Senior Curator, National Art Gallery of Bahamas; Executive Director, ARC magazine) and Valerie Cassel Oliver (Chief Curator, Contemporary Arts Museum, Houston). The Bermuda Biennial exhibition is sponsored by Bacardi Limited.
Featured artists are Meredith Andrews, Louisa Bermingham, William Collieson, Emma Cooper, James Cooper, Daniel C. Dempster, Ani Douglas, Vaughan Evans, Antoine A.R. Hunt, Christina Hutchings, Teresa Kirby Smith, Peter Lapsley, Jon Legere, Dany Pen, Jennifer Leigh Piper, Alan C. Smith, Andrea Sundt, Charlie Godet Thomas, Michael Walsh, and Charles Zuill.
Sponsored by the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Community, Culture and Sports, Staging Mary Prince: In Her Own Words by international artist Joscelyn Gardner is a multimedia installation exploring the life of local hero Mary Prince.
Finally, you can explore the development of the visual arts in Bermuda in The Bermuda Collection.
Opening hours are from 10am until 4pm, Monday to Friday, and from 10am until 2pm on Saturdays, closed on public holidays. The exhibits will run until November 26th.
Admission is $5 for adults and free for BNG members, NARM members, seniors and students.
